Skin Fillers

Skin Fillers are injected into the skin by Dr Botha, to plump a problem area or to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and face folds.

Treatment Areas

  • Adding volume and smoothing out the deep lines that run from the nose to the mouth (laugh lines).
  • Plumping out thin lips.
  • Enhancing shape to the cheeks.
  • Filling out hollows under the eye area.
  • Evening out indented scars with the surrounding area (e.g. acne scars)

What are Dermal Skin Fillers?

Dermal fillers is a hyaluronic acid which naturally occurs in your body. They are gel like structures which attract weight into the collagen cell which accounts for the plumping effect. Dermal fillers can be naturally derived or synthetic based. They are injected into the skin to plump a problem area or to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and folds. *

Advantages

Results varies from patient to patient. Different thickness fillers are used in different areas i.e. a fine filler will be used for smoker’s lines and lines around the eyes whereas a thicker filler is used for cheek augmentation.

Although a homecare skin routine is vitally important and should never be undervalued, dermal fillers can help to improve the skins youthful appearance. *
